Multidisciplinary background renders a differential feature to research at FZEA. Faculty members and researchers are mostly Ph.D. professors consolidating their research lines and working together with students in several areas concerning biological, exact and human sciences.

In 15-year history (1992-2007), FZEA’s scientific production has totaled 4045 technical and scientific articles (source: Dedalus, USP). From this production, 806 full articles were published in national and international journals; 1111 full articles were presented in congresses in the country and abroad, and there were also 2128 assorted publications (abstracts, newspaper articles, etc.).
