The Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering is structured in five Departments, the Department of Basic Sciences (ZAB), the Department of Animal Science (ZAZ), the Department of Food Engineering (ZEA), the Department of Veterinary Medicine (ZMV) and the Department of Biosystems Engineering (ZEB), where are our research and teaching laboratories, classrooms, administration and teachers’ room, distributed in about 16,000 m² of fully adapted historic properties. Modern laboratories, equipment and adequate facilities, operated by faculty members and qualified staff, a modern library, with specialized collection, are the tools used by FZEA/USP to achieve excellence in its services.

There is a Didactic Unit Clinical Hospital of Veterinary Medicine (UDCH) FZEA-USP that supports teaching, research and graduate course extension in Veterinary Medicine and the Graduate Program in Bioscience Animal  and provides veterinary care to sick animals.
